Grand fir is a stately evergreen with flat glossy needles and a narrow spire when young, offering strong vertical presence and classic Northwest conifer character.
Grand fir is appreciated for fragrant foliage and orderly branching, though it ultimately wants real space overhead and below ground. At Fairview it works best as a long-horizon tree that contributes evergreen scale, shade, and shelter rather than as a compact ornamental.
